HUMBOLDT began operations in 1909 manufacturing asphalt, cement and oil testing apparatus and supplies in a typical 3-flat building just north of Chicago’s Humboldt Park. The company moved to Norridge Illinois where it continued to build upon its product range becoming the premier U.S. provider of construction materials testing equipment.

Laboratory Drying Oven

General utility laboratory drying oven ( LDO series ) used primarily for drying of test samples such as soil, aggregates, sand, asphalt, rock, etc.

General Test Sieves

CONTEST test sieves are manufactured to meet the construction industry standards. The test sieves frame and woven wire mesh series are manufactured in stainless steel. Perforated plate sieves are made from plated steel.

All test sieves are supplied with full-height frames and with manufactures certification.

Heavy Duty Plastic Concrete Cube Moulds

Test procedures require that specimens are cast in a number of standard sizes convenient for compressive strength determination and splitting tensile tests. The engineering tolerances specified for moulds are stringent and plastic-injection moulded to precision in compliance with the recommended practices as per industry norms.

Resistant to shock and abrasion, this mould is ideal for field and laboratory use. The sample is ejected from the mould using compressed air. This mould requires minimal maintenance as simple cleaning and oiling are needed before it is ready for use.

Concrete Cube Moulds

Test procedures require that specimens are cast in a number of standard sizes convenient for compressive strength determination and splitting tensile tests.

The engineering tolerances specified for moulds are very stringent and the internal finish of the surface must be of a precision machined to comply with the recommendations practices in many international standards.
